ABS Quality Evaluations Certifies Aviation Safety, Federal Aviation Administration to ISO 9001 Standard

ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. ("ABS QE") providedISO 9001 certification to Aviation Safety, Federal Aviation Administration — the largest federal agency to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification of a single corporate quality management system that covers multiple services.
"ABS QE consolidated FAA's separate business certifications under one global quality management system," Chuck Russo, President of ABS QE, said. "In July 2005, ABS QE was pleased to have been selected by Aviation Safety, Federal Aviation Administration to assist their organization on their 'Journey to Excellence.' We realize that our participation came after an intense effort of work and commitment by over 6,400 individuals working throughout Aviation Safety's several hundred global locations," Russo continued.
Beginning with the ISO 9001 certification of the Office of Rulemaking in August 2005, Aviation Safety stayed focused on the goal of achieving ISO 9001 certification at each of their six offices on an aggressive schedule. From initial concept to planning to implementation, the final goal of achieving a consolidated management system was completed on target.
"In the true spirit of the ISO 9001 principles, the organization's leadership embraced the concept of management commitment and involvement of people," Russo said.

The promotion of Aviation Safety and Monitoring and Compliance with Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations, which apply to Airmen, Aircraft Manufacturers, Repair and Maintenance Facilities, Aviation Schools, Air Operators, Aviation Agencies, Individuals and Organizations. Aviation Safety fulfills these responsibilities through the Flight Standards Service; The Aircraft Certification Service; The Office of Aerospace Medicine; The Office of Rulemaking; The Office of Accident Investigation; The Air Traffic Safety Oversight Service; The Suspected Unapproved Parts Program Office; and The Office Quality, Integration, and Executive Services Organizations at their respective work locations.
