ABS QE Achieves QC 080000 IECQ HSPM Accreditation

ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. (ABS QE) achieved IECQ HSPM QC 080000 accreditation. The EECB issued and placed online the first ABS QE certificate for FUHO TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD, Changhua y, Taiwan, R.O.C.
IECQ-HSPM QC 080000 is an international system requirements document, adopted by IECQ and based on US EIA/ECCB954, "Electrical and Electronic Components and Products Hazardous Substance Free Standard and Requirements." Released in October 2005, IECQ QC 080000 is intended to help organizations manage hazardous substances in their components and products through Hazardous Substance Process Management, or HSPM. Based on ISO 9001:2000, certification to QC 080000 can help an organization demonstrate conformity with RoHS (Restriction of use of certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Conformity with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 is a prerequisite to QC 080000 certification.
Certificates for QC 080000 are issued through internationally-recognized Supervising Inspectorates (SIs) operating under the National Authorized Institutions (NAIs) of IECQ Member Bodies of the system. ABS QE is qualified to operate the QC 080000 program independently from two regions — Asia Pacific and North America.
