What are the Responsible Care Technical Specifications?
Developed by the American Chemistry Council (ACC) specifically for improving sustainability and responsiveness to stakeholder concerns within the chemical industry, the Responsible Care ® Technical Specifications integrates health, safety, security and environmental management into a single system. Companies can choose to certify to one of two management system technical specifications, as well as implement all three ACC Codes of Practice. - RCMS certification, which verifies that a company has implemented the Responsible Care Management System (including verification of implementation of the Product Safety Code, Process Safety Code, and Security Code);
- RC14001, which combines Responsible Care and ISO 14001 certification into a single, cost-effective process (inclusive of all ACC Codes of Practice).
