Alex Weisselberg Appointed as Acting President of ABS Quality Evaluations

With the recent resignation of Charles (Chuck) Russo, former President of ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. (ABS QE), Alex Weisselberg has been appointed as Acting President of ABS QE, effective September 2, 2008, on an interim basis until a full-time successor has been appointed.
Alex has been with ABS Group over five years, employed by an affiliated company of ABS QE, and has been seconded on a full-time basis to the position of Acting President of ABS QE. Alex’s background includes business management and development, strategy development and international operations. He joined ABS Group and its affiliated companies in 2003 from Enron Energy Services, where he served as Senior Director - North American Field Operations. Prior to Enron, Alex held the position of President, Amoco Venezuela Petroleum Company, where he led Amoco's entry and operations in Venezuela. In his 20-year career with Amoco, he held various positions with increased responsibility in business development, international negotiations and financial areas for its U.S. operations as well as operations abroad.
Alex holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, majoring in financial management and international finance. He also holds a Masters of Engineering and BS degrees in operations research and industrial engineering from Cornell University. He served as a member of the board of the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce and the Inter-American Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He is fluent in Spanish.
As Acting President of ABS QE, Alex is responsible for the performance of its certification business worldwide.
