The Process Approach to business management, including policy deployment and metric alignment
Cause and Effect analysis, SWOT analysis, and FMEA
Variation and Six Sigma, including Common vs. Special Cause Variation, Measurement Uncertainty, Measurement System Analysis and Gauge R&R, Charting methods, Capability Indicators, DMAIC, Control Plans, etc.
Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping and Error Proofing
Advanced Problem Solving, including 5 Why, integration of cause and effect and FMEA, and prioritization concepts
Selling audit findings to top management
Prioritization of audit trails is integrated throughout the course. An ongoing case study is used at the end of each section and culminates with a presentation of audit findings to top management.

Upon successful completion, delegates will be able to:

Starting and finishing audit trails with organizational performance metrics;
Using risk assessment tools to prioritize audit trails;
Focusing on critical sources of variation using six sigma concepts;
Focusing on waste reduction using lean manufacturing concepts;
"Selling" audit findings to top management by linking with the knowledge and demonstrated ability to utilize the concepts of advanced auditing to drive improvement including;
Real world knowledge and examples from ABS QE most experienced auditors.
