Course Description

  • The PDCA – Planning, Do, Check and Act cycle and management principles
  • The Process Approach to business management, including policy deployment and metric alignment
  • Cause and Effect analysis, SWOT analysis, and FMEA
  • Variation and Six Sigma, including Common vs. Special Cause Variation, Measurement Uncertainty, Measurement System Analysis and Gauge R&R, Charting methods, Capability Indicators, DMAIC, Control Plans, etc.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping and Error Proofing
  • Advanced Problem Solving, including 5 Why, integration of cause and effect and FMEA, and prioritization concepts
  • Selling audit findings to top management
  • Prioritization of audit trails is integrated throughout the course. An ongoing case study is used at the end of each section and culminates with a presentation of audit findings to top management.
