Course Description

AS9100 is a SAE document recognized by the aerospace industry as a basic requirement for a quality system. The document contains ISO 9001:2000 criteria and additional requirements specific to the quality systems of aerospace industry suppliers. Experienced auditors perform AS9100 audits with proven backgrounds in the aerospace industry.

  • Variation Management of Key Characteristics (ref. AS9103)
  • Aerospace Industry Interpretations/Emphasis on Quality Systems

  • Design and Development Controls and Disciplines
  • Purchasing Controls and Disciplines - Including Flowdown of Requirements
  • Supplier Election, Approval and Control
  • Customer Approved/Designated Resources
  • Use and Control of Inspections Acceptance Media
  • Traceability and Accountability of Aerospace Parts and Material
  • Control of Special and Frozen/Fixed Processes
  • Statistical Sample Inspection Requirements and Plans
  • Control of Nonconforming Product/Material (ID, Segregation, Disposition, etc.)
  • Foreign Object Debris/Damage (FOD) – Prevention, Identification and Removal
